Last week we celebrated 2 birthdays: my grandson's and mine. Birthdays are always a good time to take stock. I have been very fortunate in life, and have been able to do and experience a lot of things. One life altering experience however, was the diagnosis of having colon cancer about 6 months ago. I had an operation and am currently taking chemo treatments. All things considered, I am doing reasonably well. My immediate support team consists of: a loving, caring husband (and sometimes nurse), a smart, considerate son, an amazing little grandson and, of course, Gemmie! I have so much to be grateful for!
