I would like to add two photos of a previous camping trip. They are of a "soddy", a dwelling made of sod or earth bricks. Soddies were built all over the west by pioneers who could not afford to construct houses with regular building materials. Or the materials were too scarce at the time. Imagine living in one of these! Although I'm told that they were quite cool in summer and warm in winter, (what a relief!), they were often rodent infested and snakes liked to move in also. Yikes! I found this treasure on Main Street Elbow. The town of Elbow has a marina with yachts and fancy condominiums going up all over town. Quite a contrast with this soddy! Kuddos to the residents for reconstructing a momento of the past!
Relax! As long as you don't end up in the dog house you'll be fine! 😄
